Gordon and Vanessa welcome you to their home.

Gordon & Vanessa first met in the Badachro Inn in '96 and lived as expats in the Middle East, then London, then back in Gordon's home of Edinburgh.

Vanessa grew up in Munich, Germany and only meant to come to Badachro for a short holiday, but the place has something very special about it!

At last, after a lot of dreaming and years of hard working city life (and a son, a daughter, a cat and a Lab puppy), they built their dream home in Badachro and opened Aird Hill B&B in early April 2008. Vanessa trained in the 5* hotel hospitality business and they are both very relaxed hosts who look forward to welcoming you into their home.

Vanessa also runs Airdhill Fresh & Local, a growing horticultural business growing soft fruit, top fruit, salads and herbs on a few pockets of land around the Gairloch, adhering to organic principles all the way. Restoring a walled garden & victorian orchard keeps her busy while the bees (not at Aird Hill) aid pollenation and produce gorgeous honey.

Gordon sits on the board of several organisations including Highlands and Island Local Food Network and Epilepsy Scotland and also delivers marketing consultancy services to businesses in the region.
